SUSPERIA In Writing Mode

June 28, 2008

Norwegian melodic thrashers SUSPERIA have issued the following update:

"Time to break the silence. It's been a long time since we gave you an update on what's happening in the SUSPERIA camp. You may think we've been sitting around doing nothing, but we actually got our asses into gear and have been working hard writing and doing pre-production work for the next album. We have about ten songs on the go at various stages of completion and everything is going well. Our creative juices are flowing!! At this moment we're in hard, fast and melodic mode. Athera [vocals] is in free flow with the lyrics. It's still early days, so we can't give you a full idea of what to expect yet, who knows what's coming!!

"You may already be aware that in August we get the chance to escape from working on the album. We will play at the Metal Rock Festival in Lillehammer, Norway on Saturday 16th August. We're playing alongside OPETH, MY DYING BRIDE and a load of other cool bands, so get yourself down there for a good time. We'll let you know our stage time soon."

SUSPERIA released its fourth studio album, "Cut from Stone", last year through the Tabu label in Europe and Candlelight Records in the USA. It entered the Norwegian chart at position No. 18 and was the No. 1 most added album on the influential CMJ Loud Rock and FMQB radio charts in the U.S.

"Cut from Stone" was recorded at Strand Studio, Oslo, Norway during 2006. The mix was completed by Daniel Bergstrand (IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH, SOILWORK) at Dug-Out Studios in Uppsala, Sweden, while the production was handled by SUSPERIA and Marius Strand.
